Finger Lakes Region SCCA, Inc. to host the 30th Susquehannock Trail Pro Rally

Rochester, NY -- The Finger Lakes Region SCCA, Inc. is pleased to announce that they will again host the Susquehannock Trail Pro Rally (STPR.) in the forest around Wellsboro Pennsylvania. This is the 29th consecutive year that the region has organized and produced this event. Over the past 29 years STPR has been named the Sports Car Club of America Rally of the Year many times. This year RallyAmerica will sanction the Rally.

STPR is a Stage Rally format similar to Rallies held all over the world. Stage format consists of a series of special stages connected by a series of low speed transit sections with one or more legs. Stage Rallies also include Parc ExposÈs, Parc Fermes and service breaks. Rallies at this level of competition must have at least 100 miles of or 140 minutes of special stages. Rally cars are street legal cars with both competitive and safety modifications. Safety crews line the route and there are emergency crews standing by. Over 400 volunteers descend upon the small village of Wellsboro, Pa. to participate in the competition and be a part of this Motorsport occasion. STPR boasts the only water crossing in the series, as well as night stages.

The Finger Lakes Region SCCA, Inc. is one of 110 regional chapters of the Sports Car Club of America, Inc. that hold over 2000 motorsports events annually. The Rochester, NY based club, with a membership of over 850 enthusiasts, organizes Solo II (autocross), Road Rallies, and Road Races, as well as STPR.
