RSport Rally, Knight Motorsports & Dragon Optical enter RIM of the World Pro Rally

Cochrane, Alberta -- RSport Rally has partnered with the Knight Motorsports Inc. Rally team and Dragon Optical to compete in the 2003 SCCA RIM of the World Pro Rally, based out of Palmdale, California this May 2nd & 3rd.

RIM is a fully subscribed event drawing most of North America's top rally drivers. The entry is capped at 80 cars and there are numerous cars on the waiting list.

"I am ecstatic that we have all come together again to compete in this years event," says Scott. In 2002 Knight Motorsports Inc. driver Scott Trinder and father/navigator Bob Trinder started the event in 33rd place. Passing countless cars and battling through the blinding dust the pair finished the event 8th overall! "The impenetrable dust was just one of the drama's we faced last year. We had a lot of electrical problems that brought the car to a crawl during many of the events stages," says Bob. Jon Ryther team Manager for Knight Motorsports Inc. is confident that the problems encountered in 2002 are solved. "Our team has gone through the car very meticulously for this years event. We are confident that the problems faced by Scott and Bob last year will not re-occur. But as you know RIM is rough and anything can happen, just to finish RIM is an accomplishment, we wish them the best of luck!" says Jon.

"Our strategy will be the same as last year. We are trying to finish. This event is tough on cars, and I think those drivers that go for it the whole way through, will be lucky to finish" says Scott. RIM is an arduous rally that takes both the car and driver to the limit. "If your not in shape you will loose a lot of time," says Scott. The rally cars are in the air as much as they are on the ground, water bars cross the road every 100 yards causing many cars to break at RIM.

Knight Motorsports Inc. driver Scott will be the 10th starter of the 80 cars at this year's event. "This is the highest starting position for a Knight car in a National event, ever. Scott overcame diversity last year and rose from a seed 4 driver to a seed 2. He is an experienced driver with the physical ability to tackle the highly demanding stages at RIM. A good finish is the team's top priority, if the Trinder's can accomplish this everyone at Knight will be very, very pleased." says Tom.

Dragon Optical has decided to stand by the team once again in 2003. "We enjoyed working with Scott in 2002. He is as solid at working with us, as he is a driver. Dragon Optical wishes the entire team and crew good luck, at this years event" says, spokes person Dragon Optical. www.dragonoptical.com
